Kendra Smith
Certified General Real Estate Appraiser
Kendra has gained a breadth of appraisal experience in agricultural properties throughout California, including almond, pistachio and walnut orchard developments; raisin and table grape vineyards; premium, high-value wine grape vineyards; tree fruit orchards; citrus groves; winery operations; food processing and cold storage facilities and various open land properties. Kendra is proficient in developing fully USPAP, FIRREA, and FarmerMac-compliant appraisals used for a variety of intended uses, such as collateral evaluation, refinance, portfolio monitoring, sales price establishment, marriage or partnership dissolution, estate planning and more.
Along with the rest of the C-X team, Kendra has delved into the "hot topic" of water in all her property valuations. She continues to track and analyze the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act's (SGMA) impact on California land values. With market-recognized value differences seen water district by water district, basin by basin, Kendra carefully selects comps with these important nuances in mind, and helps the team track SGMA's evolving importance in the agricultural marketplace. Kendra was born and raised in the Rolling Hills community of Madera, California. At a young age, she gained an understanding and appreciation for agriculture from her dad, who has worked for a reputable, Westside farming company for many years. Kendra is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. |
