During his career at C-X, Senior Appraiser Brent Martin has appraised some of the largest and most complex properties in California, including a large array of nut orchards, premium vineyards, fully integrated dairy and livestock facilities, all types of tree fruit and citrus, packing and processing facilities, irrigated open land and natural grazing land. A significant portion of Brent’s recent projects has been closely tied to the explosive development of premium vineyards and nut orchards throughout Central California. Appraisals for these projects are typically complex in nature, and frequently involve deriving prospective market values “as proposed” or “as if mature” of new permanent planting developments.
Over the course of his career, Brent has performed appraisals for a large variety of clients, from virtually all providers of agricultural financing to individual landowners of family-owned operations. Brent is experienced in providing fully FIRREA and USPAP-compliant appraisals for financing, purchase, and sale transactions; estate and tax planning; foreclosure and bankruptcy proceedings; divorce and partnership dissolution, and has been involved in providing litigation and arbitration support.
In addition to his appraisal work, Brent owns and operates an almond orchard in California’s San Joaquin Valley. Brent is a graduate of Stanford University, and is certified by the state of California as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
