Machinery and Equipment (M&E) Appraiser
Since 2003, Randy has contributed his expertise in machinery and equipment appraisal to the Correia-Xavier team. His expertise is extensive, ranging from machinery and equipment located in some of California’s most prestigious wineries, to olive processing plants, feed mills, dairy and feedlot operations, agricultural transportation operations, all types of nut processing facilities, raisin packing facilities, citrus packing facilities, milk processing facilities, greenhouse / nursery operations, and rolling stock inventory associated with large, diversified farming operations.
A graduate of Fresno Pacific University, Randy was born and raised in Fresno where he grew up working alongside his father in the family’s raisin grape vineyards. While he often performs equipment-only appraisals for his clients, Randy also works closely with C-X appraisers to provide embedded appraisals as part of a larger, complex real property valuation. He is often called upon to assist in the analysis of comparable sales when machinery and equipment has been included in real estate transactions.
Many well-known banks, accounting firms, investment groups, and numerous law firms have trusted Randy’s expertise in appraising large and small agricultural operations. Intended uses of his machinery and equipment appraisals involve lending, business planning, estate planning and taxation, divorce and partnership dissolution, liquidation of assets, and collateral evaluation. Randy is also highly experienced in providing opinions of value for both retrospective and prospective dates of value.
